MERZATTA
Patina Deerhorn Cedar Bangle
A curve of cedar branch wraps a full circle around the wrist.
About 1/4" wide
A farmer in Silverton, Oregon, has cultivated a small forest filled with hundreds of rare conifers, from spiky fronds of cedars of Lebanon to golden tendrils of Lawson cypress. When he invited us to walk through his exceptional trees and take clippings, Chris swung Laurily up on his shoulders, where she reached into the upper reaches of the trees, while we hunted for treasures below. With her child’s eye, she found our favorite piece of the day: the bright green tips that signal new growth from mature branches. They form the core of this collection: the actual shape of resilience and new life.
